REC (NSE:RECLTD, BOM:532955) has incorporated two step-down subsidiaries named Mahan Transmission and Kumool IV Transmission, according to a Wednesday filing to the stock exchanges.

The new entities have been formed as wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Power Development and Consultancy, a wholly owned unit of the company.

Mahan Transmission is incorporated for the transmission of 1,230 MW of power from the proposed 2X800 MW thermal power project of Mahan Energen.

Meanwhile, Kurnool-IV Transmission has been formed for the transmission system for the integration of Kurnool-IV REZ- Phase-I.
