Frontier Energy (ASX:FHE) said that former Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan will not join the company's board as director and non-executive chair, according to a Tuesday filing with the board.
In August, the company appointed McGowan as non-executive chairman on a date that was not yet agreed.
Due to McGowan's other commitments, a firm start date could not be agreed upon, leading to a mutual decision to cancel the appointment, the filing said.
The company has initiated a search for new independent directors with expertise in energy, finance, and technical fields to support its next development phase. Details of the appointment of a new chair was not disclosed.
