NexGen Energy said Wednesday that it has secured its first uranium supply contracts with a number of nuclear utility companies in the U.S.
The Canadian uranium producer said the contracts entail the supply of 5 million pounds of uranium and the contracts all incorporate market-related pricing mechanisms at the time of delivery.
NexGen is optimistic about the trajectory for the critical fuel as demand for energy continues to rise at a fast clip to power big tech's next generation of data centers.
The company said it still in talks with other utilities across U.S., Europe and Asia.
