Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) said Wednesday that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the US Department of Energy's Idaho Operations Office, contemplating the installation of the company's experimental microreactors at the Idaho National Laboratory.
The company said the memorandum sets out the framework for its planned collaboration with the DOE to evaluate the feasibility of siting, construction, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of its Zeus and Odin experimental microreactors at the site.
Nano Nuclear Energy said it will also work with Battelle Energy Alliance, the Idaho National Laboratory's operator, in developing and testing the microreactors, which are designed to deliver clean, portable power solutions.
Shares of Nano Nuclear Energy were up 5% in recent trading.
