HS Optimus (SGX:504) has submitted a planning permit application to Melbourne City Council for its 3,745-square-meter property at 23-31 Lincoln Square South, Carlton, which is being planned to be developed into purpose-built student accommodation, according to a Thursday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The site, near the University of Melbourne and RMIT, is well-connected by public transport, the company said.
HS Optimus expects strong demand for student housing in the area due to Melbourne's high livability and prominent educational institutions.
