Posco International Begins Gas Facility Operations in Australia

Posco International (KRX:047050) began test operations at Gas Processing Facility Unit 1 in Australian energy company Senex Energy's Atlas gas field, according to a company release on Wednesday.

The company aims to triple annual natural gas production from 20 petajoules to 60 petajoules, which is equivalent to 1.2 million tons of liquefied natural gas.

The company plans to start operating Gas Processing Facility Units 2 and 3 in late 2025 to support its production expansion. By 2026, the expanded output is expected to supply more than 10% of Eastern Australia's domestic gas demand, the release said.
