GameStop (GME) shares closed nearly 6% higher on Thursday after a cryptic post from meme stock influencer Keith Gill, known on YouTube as "Roaring Kitty" and on Reddit as "DeepF***ingValue".
Gill posted on X an edited version of a Time magazine cover from 2006 featuring a computer screen. This was followed by a spike in GameStop's shares, reaching more than $30 intraday.
The post has no accompanying text as to what it is about, similar to Gill's past cryptic posts.
