Prudential (SGX:K6S, HKG:2378) said it will begin the second tranche of its $2 billion share buyback program, which amounts to $800 million, according to a Thursday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
This follows the completion of a $700 million tranche in November, the filing said.
The initiative, executed through Barclays Capital Securities, will run until June 26, 2025, aiming to reduce issued capital and return value to shareholders. The tranche represents 3.6% of Prudential's issued share capital, based on the Dec. 4 closing price.
