Backed by tech giant Microsoft (MSFT, Financial), OpenAI unveiled fresh capabilities for its artificial intelligence tool, Canvas, on Tuesday featuring Python code running ability and custom GPT integration, thereby broadening itsuses in both writing and programming.
Originally introduced in October, Kevin Weil, OpenAI's chief product officer, said the tool has been in beta testing for a few months. "We are now running Python codes on Canvas. We are also bringing Canvas to specifically tailored GPTs," he said.
Users of Canvas can enter a story concept that the AI turns into a complete creation. Accessing ChatGPT on the tool's UI lets users modify or update. For text input, Canvas also offers line-by-line comments and analysis, therefore serving as a tool for honing writing abilities and enhancing composition styles.
Canvas now lets users directly copy Python code directly, find mistakes, and run the code inside the tool to evaluate functionality in programming apps. These tools simplify coding processes and debugging. Custom GPTs improve the product even further by enabling customized AI models meant to satisfydifferent user needs in several sectors.
