Boeing (BA) said Tuesday that it has resumed 737 production at its factory in Renton, Washington, while its November deliveries and orders fell both sequentially and annually.

Last month, the plane maker reached a labor deal with members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union that represents about 33,000 of Boeing's employees that had been on strike since mid-September.

"Our team has worked methodically to restart factory operations in the Pacific Northwest," a Boeing spokesperson told MT Newswires in an e-mailed statement. "We have now resumed 737 production in our Renton factory, with our Everett (Washington) programs on plan to follow in the days ahead."

The company said it has spent time to complete work on airplanes in inventory to prepare for production resumption at "pre-work stoppage levels."

Boeing shares were up 4.5% in Tuesday late-afternoon trade. For the year so far, the stock is down nearly 37%.

The company delivered 13 jets last month, including nine 737 Max aircraft, down from a total of 14 in October and 56 a year earlier, according to data posted on its website. It booked 49 orders in November, down from 63 the previous month and 114 a year earlier.

The November deliveries reached the lowest in four years, Bloomberg News reported. The company intends to restart 777, 777X and 767 lines "shortly," according to the report. Boeing restarted 737 Max production last week, Reuters reported, citing three sources familiar with the matter.

Year to date through November, the company delivered 318 planes and booked 427 orders. As of Nov. 30, it had 6,268 unfilled orders, its data showed.

Earlier this year, Boeing agreed to acquire Spirit AeroSystems (SPR) in a roughly $8.3 billion deal that would reverse the companies' 2005 separation.
