Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ASX:ERA) Chief Financial Officer and joint Company Secretary Richard Prest will step down from his role effective Dec. 16, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

David Pritchard-Davies, the company's current Senior Finance Manager, will succeed Prest, the filing said.

The uranium producer also said its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Brad Welsh, will transition to a consultancy role following Rio Tinto's announcement of its intention to compulsorily acquire the company.

Welsh will continue to act in the role of CEO and Managing Director, with the Board determining his services are needed on a non-permanent basis during the acquisition.

Welsh, who has been with Rio Tinto since 2011, will end his employment with the mining giant upon the completion of his secondment from Rio Tinto to ERA on Dec. 16. He will receive remuneration of AU$2500 per day the consultancy services are performed for an initial term of six months.

The company's share declined 17% in recent trade after earlier hitting an all-time low.
