Southern Cross Gold (ASX:SXG) struck 186 meters at 8.8 grams per tonne of gold at its 100%-owned Sunday Creek gold-antimony project in Victoria, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
This included 0.5 meters at about 2,542 grams per tonne, representing the third-highest composite intercept in the project's history, the filing stated.
More results from the 14 holes being processed at the laboratory will be soon released, it added.
The mining company's shares were up more than 5% in recent Monday trade.
