--Allianz has paused discussions with Amundi and its parent Credit Agricole over a potential tie-up with its investment-management arm, the Financial Times reports, citing unnamed sources.
--The German insurer and the French asset manager have held talks to combine Allianz Global Investors with Amundi but these have now come to a halt on disagreements over the structure of a potential deal or partnership and who would control the enlarged group, the FT reports.
--Allianz told the FT that Allianz Global Investors was performing well but declined to comment on the specifics, while Amundi told the paper that it isn't in discussions with the insurer and declined to comment further.
