Sembcorp Industries' (SGX:U96) wholly owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Power, signed a supply agreement with Tenaga Nasional (KLSE:TENAGA) to import 50MW of renewable energy, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Monday.
Under the agreement, the subsidiary will import renewable power issued with renewable energy certificates from Peninsular Malaysia to Singapore.
The two-year agreement started this month and is the first ever energy import with RECs into the city state.
