New Silkroutes Group (SGX:BMT) said its subsidiary, Hequ Yuanyang Industrial, remains temporarily shut down due to Chinese government environmental regulations on the Yellow River Basin, according to a Thursday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The shutdown affects businesses within one kilometer of the river, aimed at improving water quality and ecosystem health.
Hequ Yuanyang Industrial has met several environmental compliance requirements and invested 4.5 million yuan in rectification efforts. The company is preparing to resume operations, expecting shipments by year-end, the filing said.
