VersaBank (VBNK) said Monday it launched a public offering of its common shares.

The company will grant a 30-day overallotment option to its underwriters to acquire up to an additional 15% of the shares to be sold in the offering.

VersaBank said it expects to use the net proceeds for general banking purposes.
