1118 GMT - Canal+'s listing needs to be successful for both Vivendi and the reputation of the U.K. stock market, AJ Bell's Russ Mould writes in a note. "Volatility was expected as certain investment funds which held Vivendi may be restricted to French-listed stocks and so they are forced sellers of Canal+," Mould says. The French media group needs to prove to investors that the break-up decision was the right one, and its businesses could be better off as independent entities, Mould adds. Additionally, the French television and movie-studio company's successful listing could attract other big names to London, he adds. Shares are down 16% at 243.50 pence. (najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
