3M said Thursday it entered into an agreement with US Conec to license its technology designed for data centers.
Through the agreement, 3M would provide its beam optical interconnect technology to US Conec, which specializes in technology solutions for data centers.
The technology is designed for hyperscale data centers and edge computing environments. It minimizes wear and sensitivity to contamination, which reduces maintenance, 3M said.
US Conec anticipates using 3M's technology to help manufacture and supply products.
