Saia is adding two Tesla semi-trucks to its fleet as part of a partnership between the trucking company and the electric-vehicle maker.
Saia, a John Creeks, Ga.-based transportation company, said Wednesday it will be one of the first companies to test Tesla's electric semi-trucks.
"This collaboration enhances our operational capabilities and exemplifies how Saia is positioning itself for a future where innovation and sustainability drive success," said Saia Executive Vice President of Operations Patrick Sugar.
The partnership will help Saia reduce its carbon footprint by improving tractor mileage and enhancing operational performance for the future, the company said.
