Myer (ASX:MYR) recommended that shareholders vote in favor of the proposed combination with Apparel Brands, supported by the findings of an independent expert evaluation, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Shareholders will vote on the combination at a meeting on Jan. 23, 2025, according to the filing.
The company signed a share sale and implementation agreement with Premier Investments (ASX:PMV) in October to implement the merger with Apparel Brands, with the company issuing 890.5 million shares to Premier in exchange for the acquisition of Just Group, the filing said.
Myer and Premier Investments shares fell nearly 1% in midday trade Tuesday.
