1403 ET - Air Canada thinks population growth will add the extra tick to its growth over the next three years. In its investor day presentation, CFO John Di Bert noted that the Canadian airline has grown 3% over the last ten years from 2015 to 2024. He thinks that will be the minimum growth it can expect for the years to come, offering a range of between 3% and 4%. "We believe that it is consistent with normal travel demand plus faster growth due to the Canadian population and demographic forces," he said. Traffic between India-Canada has grown at a fast clip, reflecting their large numbers immigrating to the country. Di Bert noted a 10% annual growth on these routes. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
