1. Dissolution of Jamaah Islamiyah in Solo, Thousands of Ex-Members Declare to Return to the Indonesian Republic

A total of 1,200 former Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) from the former Surakarta, Semarang and Kedu Residency declared the dissolution of the organization and declared their return to the bosom of the Republic of Indonesia, Saturday, December 21, 2024. The activity was held at the Convention Hall of the Tirtonadi Terminal, Solo, Central Java. The declaration was also attended online by 6,800 other former JI members via the Zoom platform.

The Chief of the Indonesian Police (Kapolri), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the declaration in person. Also present were the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Commissioner General Eddy Hartono, the Head of the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police Inspector General Sentot Prasetyo, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, and a number of other officials. The declaration was also attended by figures and emirs of former JI including Alfian, Hammad (Ma'had Aly), Qosdi (Darusy Syahadah), Tengku Azhar, and others.

2. In Bandung, 161,000 Train Tickets Are Still Available for Christmas and New Year Travel

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operational Area 2 Bandung is still providing train tickets for various destinations during the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) transportation period.

"There are still 161,619 tickets available for departures until early January 2025, so people still have many choices for traveling," said Executive Vice President of PT KAI Operational Area 2 Bandung Dicky Eka Priandana, quoted from his statement, Saturday, December 21, 2024.

3. Christmas and New Year Holidays, Indonesian Govt Warns Travel Companies to Prepare Backup Buses to Serve Tourists
