Lindian Resources (ASX:LIN) named Robert Martin non-executive chairman, effective Monday, following the resignation of Asimwe Kabunga from the board, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Martin has more than 25 years of experience in mining, manufacturing, and capital markets, the filing said.

Shares rose nearly 3% in morning trade Tuesday.
