KeyCorp Gets $2 Billion Investment From Scotiabank

KeyCorp (KEY) said Friday that the Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) closed the purchase of about $2 billion of KeyCorp's common shares.

Scotiabank now owns about a 15% stake in KeyCorp's common stock, according to the financial services company.

KeyCorp said the Federal Reserve approved the transaction on Dec. 12.
