Berkeley Energia's (ASX:BKY) wholly owned Spanish subsidiaries paid AU$193,998 in mining and exploration license fees for the Salamanca project in Western Spain for the year ended June 30, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

Due to the group's operational focus, the Spanish government was the sole recipient of these payments during the period, the filing said.
