Financial stocks were edging higher pre-bell Tuesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) up 0.3% recently.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 0.9% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.8% lower.
HomeStreet (HMST) said its HomeStreet Bank unit closed the sale of $990 million of multi-family commercial real estate loans on a servicing retained basis. HomeStreet shares were over 1% lower premarket.
Affinity Banchsares (AFBI) shares fell past 21% after the company and Atlanta Postal Credit Union said they have agreed to terminate their proposed merger.
Huize (HUIZ) shares advanced by over 10% after the company said it regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement.
