Amcor Completes Sale of Stake in Canada-Based Joint Venture

Amcor (ASX:AMC) completed the sale of its 50% stake in the Bericap North America (BCNA) joint venture (JV) for $122 million, the company said in a Monday statement.

BCNA, a JV between Amcor and German-based Bericap Group, manufactures plastic closures at three facilities in North America.

The proceeds from the transaction will be used to reduce the company's debt.

The company said the sale is not expected to affect its financial outlook for fiscal 2025 after accounting for the reduction in interest expense from the debt repayment.
