1423 ET - StubHub and SeatGeek probably don't have the money they'd need to acquire Vivid Seats as the ticket seller reportedly explores a potential sale process, Raymond James analysts say in a research note. Both competitors are strapped for cash as they've tried to aggressively spend on marketing, often unprofitably, the analysts say. Regulatory scrutiny on Ticketmaster in the primary market hasn't bled into the secondary market, but a potential transaction of this size could be a catalyst for regulators to take notice, they say. For all those reasons, a financial buyer for Vivid Seats likely makes more sense than a strategic one, the analysts say. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
