Powermatic Data Systems (SGX:BCY) appointed Jason Tao Ping as the new chief executive officer of the company, effective Friday, Jan. 3, according to a same day filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Ping succeeds Chen Mun, who stepped down from the role on the same day but will remain as board chairman and executive director.
