American Rare Earths' (ASX:ARR) US subsidiary, Wyoming Rare (USA), secured a license to explore by dozing at the Halleck Creek project in Wyoming, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The license allows Wyoming Rare to conduct test mining, trenching, and exploratory excavation, the filing said.

Shares rose nearly 2% in morning trade Wednesday.
