M-tron Industries received a more than $10 million order from a Defense Department contractor to support what the company called a major air-defense program.

The Orlando. Fla., company -- which engineers electronic components used to control the frequency and timing of signals in electronic circuits -- said Monday that work under the contract is expected to take place through mid-2026.

The order consists of several products, including rugged lumped-element radio frequency filters and precision clock oscillators, according to the company. These products will support an air-defense system of the U.S., as well as ones of numerous ally nations, anticipated to be in production past 2029.

Shares rise 10%, to $54.01, in after-hours trading.

The company said the contract highlights its ability to design and produce precision radio-frequency components. "We are proud to be part of this program and the security of our nation," Chief Executive Michael Ferrantino said.
