Regal Asian Investments (ASX:RG8) reported a daily on-market buyback of its ordinary fully paid securities, with 36,544 shares repurchased Tuesday for AU$76,647 in total, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The proposed maximum number of securities to be bought back is 39.5 million shares, the filing said.

Shares rose nearly 2% in afternoon trade Wednesday.
