Galan Lithium (ASX:GLN) secured a mining permit for phase two production at the Hombre Muerto West lithium brine project in Argentina from the Catamarca Mines Department Minister, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The project now has clearance to produce up to 21,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent per year, the filing said. The permit will also allow the company to apply with the Argentinian Regimen de Incentivo para Grandes Inversiones for various incentives, including a lower corporate income tax rate.
