Indiana Resources (ASX:IDA) said it resumed a drilling campaign at the Minos gold deposit at its Gawler Craton project in South Australia, seeking to extend the deposit's footprint beyond the currently known 650 meters of gold mineralization, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

A reverse circulation drilling program, comprising 28 holes, was completed at the project in November 2024, and the firm started a diamond drilling program of about 1,300 meters in December 2024.

The diamond drilling program will extend seven of these holes by adding diamond tails to increase the depths of the holes between 250 meters and 500 meters to test interpreted down-dip extensions.

The first such tail was completed in December 2024 and the drill core is being cut and sampled for laboratory analysis, the filing added. Work is expected to be completed in February.

The firm's shares rose a little over 6% in early trade Thursday.
