WuXi AppTec (HKG:2359, SHA:603259) disposed of 86 million shares in WuXi XDC Cayman (HKG:2268) for about HK$2.43 billion on Nov. 8, 2024, and Jan. 10, 2025, a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The sold shares represent about 7.17% of the total issued share capital of WuXi XDC as of the filing date.

The company plans to use the proceeds from the disposal to speed up the construction of the group's global production capacity and capability, recruit and retain talents, and bolster its Contract Research, Development and Manufacturing Organization business model.
