ANZ Group Holdings (NZE:ANZ, ASX:ANZ) bought back 298,525 ordinary shares for over AU$8.7 million, according to a Monday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
The lender plans to repurchase up to AU$2 billion of its fully paid ordinary shares, the filing said.
The company's shares fell past 1% in recent Monday trade in New Zealand and almost 2% in Australia.
