Singapore Airlines' (SGX:C6L) group passenger capacity increased by 7.1% year on year in December 2024, while passenger traffic grew 6.0% from a year ago, according to a Wednesday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
Passenger load factor was 0.9 percentage points lower year-on-year at 88.5%.
The group, which includes Singapore Airlines and Scoot, carried a combined 3.6 million passengers during the month, an increase of 7.1% from a year earlier.
Singapore Airlines reported a passenger load factor of 88.4%, while Scoot posted 89.2%, the filing said.
Cargo operations saw a 13.6% on year rise in load amid an increase in freight charters. Cargo capacity was up 11.3% from a year ago, driven by higher utilization of freighter aircraft. The cargo load factor increased by 1 percentage point to 53.6%.
In December, Scoot launched passenger services Phu Quoc in Vietnam, while SIA resumed direct seasonal services to Sapporo in Japan.
At of Dec. 31, 2024, the Group's passenger network covered 129 destinations in 36 countries and territories.
