Minerva Group (HKG:0397) expects a net loss of about HK$48.4 million in 2024, compared with HK$104.1 million a year ago, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Bourse.
The company attributed the expected narrower loss to the HK$74.7 million estimated loss on fair value changes of financial assets, largely due to unrealized losses on listed equity securities classified as fair value through profit or loss.
The investment holding company's shares were up almost 4% in the recent trading.
