TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) revealed that corruption is one of the problems hindering national strategic projects (PSN). ICW researcher Dewi Anggraeni said her institution recorded at least six PSN corruption cases in 2022-2024.
"There are already 34 suspects related to PSN [corruption]," Dewi said in a press conference on Prabowo's 100-day event and 2025 corruption eradication outlook in Kalibata area, South Jakarta, on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
She explained that the PSN corruptions include three dam construction cases, two railway cases, and one toll road case. "Well, the state losses reached Rp2.7 trillion," Dewi said. "The bribe value was about Rp58.2 billion."
Dewi said the government had not evaluated the six PSN corruption cases. In fact, there are clear allegations of corruption in the project.
The ICW researcher said that President Prabowo Subianto had ordered Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Affairs Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the PSN. Some 280 national strategic projects have been asked to be reviewed. "But so far there has been no comprehensive evaluation of the results," he said.
Dewi pointed out the northern waters sea fence in Tangerang Regency, Banten. The sea fence has been in place since 2023, and residents have reported to the local government or agency, but there has been no follow-up until 2025. "So the government has changed, but the problem still exists, there is no evaluation," he said.
