Universe Entertainment and Culture Group's (HKG:1046) expects a loss of between HK$67.6 million and HK$77.6 million for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, compared with a profit of HK$52,000 a year prior, a Thursday bourse filing said.

The media company attributed the anticipated swing to loss mainly to a higher impairment loss due to a decrease in income or expected income from the film rights.
