Jan 22 - (The Insurer) - Cincinnati-based Great American Insurance Group has promoted Robert Martin to president and chief operating officer of its subsidiary Mid-Continent Group, effective immediately.
Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Martin joined Mid-Continent Group in 2012 as vice president and chief information officer and most recently held the role of senior vice president.
Since 2022, his leadership responsibilities have expanded to include underwriting operations and support services.
The Mid-Continent Group specialises in commercial casualty coverages with a focus on general liability for the construction, energy and difficult-to-place business in other industries.
“Mr. Martin has been pivotal in transforming Mid-Continent’s IT organisation, leading efforts to improve data and data quality, and enhancing its agency portal,” the company stated.
Earlier this month, Great American hired Bruce Bahn, former vice president of business and product development at Risk Placement Services, to support strategic and growth insights within broker relations.
