The mixed signals about Trump's tariffs plans have caused some confusion among investors, noted Yeap Jun Rong, IG's market strategist. Trump's plans for U.S.-imposed tariffs on Canada and Mexico on Feb. 1, have dashed earlier hopes that tariffs may be delayed-for-longer, he wrote in an email.
