Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher on Tuesday morning, up 0.9% to 2,109.96 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by internet and data center services provider VNET (VNET) and AI and Internet-of-Things platform Tuya (TUYA), which advanced by 12% and 8%, respectively.
They were followed by electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng (XPEV), which added nearly 5%.
The decliners from North Asia were led by educational services provider New Oriental (EDU) and holographic cloud services company WiMi (WIMI), which fell 23% and 10%, respctively.
They were followed by after-school education and tutoring company TAL Education (TAL), which retreated nearly 6%.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and information and communications tech company Sify (SIFY), which rose 1.6% and 1% respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by bank and financial services company ICICI (IBN), which fell 2%, followed by telecom Telkom Indonesia (TLK), which was down 1.9%.
