Allied Group (HKG:0373) unit Sun Hung Kai (HKG:0086) agreed to commit $100 million of capital to invest in Wentworth Capital Debt funds and AU$25 million to the Wentworth GP Trust on Tuesday, a same-day joint bourse filing said.
The Wentworth GP Trust investment will be invested across Australian firm Wentworth Capital's investment strategies, provision of strategic services, and a working capital loan to Wentworth Capital Debt.
The investment is in line with Sun Hung Kai's plan to expand its alternative funds.
Sun Hung Kai may early redeem its investments and cancel its commitment five years from the seeding date if returns from the Wentworth Capital Debt Funds are below expectations.
