West African Resources (ASX:WAF) reported that it achieved cost and production guidance, with full-year 2024 gold production of 206,622 ounces at all-in sustaining costs of $1,240 per ounce, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It reported fourth-quarter gold production of 51,178 ounces from 897,000 tonnes of ore milled at a head grade of 1.9 grams per tonne and recovery of 92.4%, at all-in sustaining costs of $1,216 per ounce. Gold production in the fourth quarter rose 7% compared with the third quarter.
Its unhedged gold sales came in at 47,953 ounces at an average price of $2,690 per ounce in the December 2024 quarter.
The firm added that the Burkina Faso government signed five-year mining agreements for the Toega deposit and Sanbrado project on Jan. 15.
