Becton, Dickinson (BDX) and laboratory automation company Biosero said Thursday they are collaborating to enable robotic arm integration with flow cytometry instruments used in drug discovery and development.
With robotic integration, steps in a lab's flow cytometry workflow that are now manual can become automated, substantially accelerating the process, the companies said.
Becton and Biosero said they will develop new capabilities within BD flow cytometer instrument software to be compatible with Biosero's Green Button Go software to facilitate robotic arm integration.
Financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed.
