Altech Batteries (ASX:ATC) said its German joint venture, Altech Batteries GmbH, received a "Dark Green" rating for its Cerenergy project from a research center managed by S&P Global Ratings, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The rating, awarded by the Center of International Climate and Environmental Research, reflects the battery's low carbon footprint, minimal supply chain impact, and fossil-free production process, the filing said.
