Patronus Resources (ASX:PTN) will acquire a 15.7% interest or 500 million shares in Geopacific Resources (ASX:GPR) for AU$10 million at AU$0.02 per share as a sub-underwriter to the shortfall to the latter's entitlement offer, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company's major shareholders, Deutsche Balaton/Delphi, will also hold a 46.1% shareholding interest in Geopacific Resources upon completion of the entitlement offer, resulting in a combined relevant interest of 61.8%, the filing said.
