Nano Nuclear Energy rose Tuesday morning after it said it acquired new patents that will support its modular microreactor technologies under development.
Shares traded 3.3% higher at $34.36.
The nuclear energy and technology company said the intellectual property it acquired from Ultra Safe Nuclear will help improve the functionality of certain critical parts with the aim of reducing waste produced in operations, increase efficiency and improve safety.
"The addition of this world-class intellectual property to our portfolio is key in the development and eventual deployment of our innovative, portable and secure nuclear energy systems," Founder and Chairman Jay Yu said.
The stock's rebound Tuesday came after a sharp decline the day before where the company's stock fell 21% on the heels of DeepSeek's low-cost AI model which cast fresh doubt on future energy demand.
