** Shares Red Hawk Mining RHK.AX rise 46.3% to A$1.2, their highest level since April 2021

** Australia's Fortescue FMG.AX to acquire the small Western Australia iron ore miner

** Offer price of A$1.05 per share represents a premium of 28% to co's closing price on Jan 24

** About 426,172 shares change hands by 2356 GMT, 13.1 times the 30-day average volume of shares

** Stock up 39.7% YTD

** Shares of Fortescue FMG.AX were down 0.1%
